The inspiration to do this painting came during a trip to Egypt in March of 2022. I brought with me The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying and started reading days before we visited the pyramids of Giza. The whole event of being in the complex of pyiramids at the day of the first new moon of the year (also the day of the beginning of Ramadan) was very intense.
In this painting I try to convey the moment of what happened in there from my inner perspective as well as the struggles I constantly find myself in.
